Honors H496
As a part of my senior year I am taking Honors-H496. This is a class where I am reflecting on the person I was my freshman year and the person I am now.

I joined the IU Indianapolis Honors College in August 2022 where I was able to begin building connections with other students like myself. As a student in an honors First Year Seminar and living on the Honors floor in University Tower, those connections came immediately and are still ones I have to this day. H200 is a introductory course required for all Honors students and in this course it gave us the opportunity to think about who we wanted to be in our future careers, but also reflect on our personal values. In these statements you are able to see the growth that has happened since I was in my second semester freshman year to my senior year.
As a student in the Honors College, I am required each semester to complete advanced work that goes beyond the standard expectations of my courses. During my time at IU Indianapolis, I have fulfilled these requirements by enrolling in Honors courses, completing Honors contracts, and participating in undergraduate research.Below, I outline the ways I have earned my Honors credits, along with the specific skills and strengths I have developed through each of these experiences.
As an honors student at IU Indianapolis, I have intentionally sought out experiences that have challenged me both academically and personally. Through these opportunities, I have developed transferable skills that will serve me well in my future career, particularly in communication. Many of these experiences have strengthened my ability to clearly and effectively explain scientific and healthcare-related concepts to a variety of audiences, preparing me for a career where strong science communication is essential.
